House, said to be 1821. Coursed rubble with hipped green slate roof. A shallow
double pile plan with doorway now removed from main front. This front is of two
storeys and five bays. Plinth, first floor sill band and eaves cornice, with
frieze only over inner bays. Outer windows are set in a raised section of walls
to either side, with ground floor windows in blank arched. Central doorway, and
2nd and 4th windows of first floor are blind; remaining openings have sashes with
all glazing bars. Door repositioned in new doorcase in righthand bay of northern
return wall after fire in 1956. Two chimneys. Interior has open string stair
at rear but is mostly plain or altered.
