Farmhouse, probably later C17, and attached barn, possibly rather earlier. Rubble
with stone slate roof. Farmhouse is of 2 cells with porch at right hand end to
which is attached a further small room. Two storeys. The windows are double
chamfered stone mullion windows of 2 lights and 2 (formerly 4) lights. Enclosed
stone porch with chamfered doorways. At first floor are 2 3-light windows with
recessed square mullions. At rear at left hand side are 2-light unmoulded window,
with above a 3-light double chamfered stone mullion window, probably enlarged.
Inside is an elliptical fireplace with chamfered jambs. Corbels above it support
chamfered beams. The roof has 2 king-post trusses with angle struts, braced to
the ridge. The barn had opposed cart entries but one has been blocked; some
chamfered doorways. The internal wall is thickened in three places on either
side suggested as the footings of former raised crucks.
