OLD BASING

C18, and modern. Two storeys and attic, symmetrical front of 5 windows, with
single-storeyed additions at ends (set back on the west). Hipped tile roof, 2 small gabled dormers. Red brickwork in Flemish bond, first-floor band, cambered openings, plinth. Casements. Doorway has a flat canopy, solid frame and 6-panelled door. Was a bakery and shop until 1950.
