Wrongly shown on O.S. map as Down End Cottage. Formerly house, now house and
shop. Dated 1732. Slobbered rubble, stone dressings and stone slate roof.
2 storeys, 2 bays. Two flat-faced recessed mullioned windows to each storey with
plain surrounds: 3 lights on ground floor and 2 lights on upper floor. All have
C20 glazing. Central ridge stack of dressed stone. Entry in left-hand return
with moulded surround. Lintel has initials RMH, a heart-shaped device, and date.
C20 extension to part of left-hand gable: 2 storeys, bay.
