Farmhouse, later the Crown Public House, then the fire station
cottage. Late C17. In mid C19 a wing to the right hand, now
No. 108, was added. Timber-framed with gable end cased in white
brick, and roughcast render to side walls. Steeply pitched roof
of asbestos with a ridge stack rebuilt in white brick in C19.
Gable end to road. Plan of three bays probably originally with
a lobby entry. One storey and attics. Two dormers. All the
fenestration and doorways are C19 or C20. The wing is mid C19
of grey brick with an asbestos roof. Two storeys. One hung
sash of twelve panes at first floor and one at ground floor.
panelled door. Inside, No. 110 was remodelled in C19. The main
beams are exposed or boxed and there are abutting inglenook
hearth, one of which is sealed.
