The Red Lion Inn

Public house. Late Cl7 refronted 1795, altered C19, C20.
Coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins. Collyweston slate roof.
Single red brick ridge and gable stacks. 2 storey 4 bay front
having off-centre C20 door with to left a pair and to right a
single 3 light glazing bar casements. To first floor are 3
smaller similar windows. All openings have timber lintels.
Above the central window is an ashlar datestone with initials
"RF" and date "1795". To the right is a single storey single bay
service block with pantile roof containing a single 3 light
window, and beyond to the right is a longer single storey range,
also pantiled, now with 2 small fixed lights but originally with
a central door now blocked and single breathers to either side.
Interior retains chamfered girders.
