1/21 Monument to Dog

II

Monument. 1833. Coade stone. Monument to dog in the form of an
urn on a square pedestal; pedestal rises from a plain square base
via a moulded plinth. On the sides of the pedestal are single
paterae, and on one side the following inscription:- 'Under this
urn lies buried Dec 17th, 1833 a faithful and favourite dog, Old
Windham.' The urn stands on a swept base and is decorated with
swags and scrolls as well as lions head handle fixings.
