Dated 1688 on plaque above main entrance. Red brick farmhouse
with plain tile, hipped roof, symmetrical facade to street of
three bays with two rear wings and separate kitchen now included
in the building. Two storeys. Brick bands to side facades
between floors, tall plastered pilasters at building angles, and
similar pilasters at each storey flanking central doorway and
first floor window. Windows at both floor levels have plaster
surrounds to modern casements. Triangular, plastered pediment
with initials PD to doorway with modern plank door and
rectangular fanlight. Two large brick stacks rebuilt to rear.
Interior has original staircase with turned balusters and
ball-finials to square newels. Exposed ceiling beams, some C17
panelled doors.
