The Thatched House

Cottage, originally a pair. Late C18 extended in C19. Timber framed,
rendered and hipped thatched roof with shared red brick stack. Two storeys.
two modern casements in enlarged openings at first and ground floors.
Doorway to lobby opposite the stack. Contemporary outshut at the rear, now
with two dormers in the roof. C19 lean-to at each end. Both are timber
framed, pantiled. Inside: Small abutting principal hearths to each with C19
cupboard one with original hinges, at the side. Each cottage had one room at
ground floor with outshut at rear. There was a hearth in the outshut to the
cottage at the south east end.
