House, mid C18th. Squared sandstone rubble with stone slate roof.
Double-pile plan with end chimneys. A symmetrical composition of 2
storeys with attics and 3 bays. Facade has chamfered quoins, moulded
string, and moulded stone cornice. The windows now have plain reveals
and lintels of punched stone. They are imitation sashes with glazing
bars. The door architrave has been repaired with modern stone. The
gables have copings, the front kneelers having ball finials. At the
rear are some original windows with plain stone surrounds and square
mullions: one of 2 lights, 2 cross windows, and a 6-light mullioned and
transomed window. Interior. The left-hand rear room has a wide
chamfered fireplace with segmental arched head. The right-hand front
room has a plaster cornice remaining. A number of the doors on the
ground and 1st floors are of oak with raised and fielded panels. The
stairs have a closed string, moulded handrail, and some slim turned
balusters remaining.
