Cottage, mid-late C17 of four bays and lobby entry plan. In the
C19 the cottage was sub-divided. Timber framed, plaster
rendered with a thatched roof of long straw. Original yellow
brick stack with a recessed date panel below a string course.
One storey and attics. One dormer. The four windows and door
to the lobby entry are all C20. Inside both bays of No. 27 have
stop chamfered main beams. There is a bread oven at the side of
the inglenook in No. 27 and a small C19 internal room with the
walls made of clay bat.
