Farmhouse with shippon attached. Late C16 or C17, extended in C19. Stone rubble.
Slate roofs, gable end to right, hipped at left end. 2 stone rubble ridge stacks
with drips, and additional brick stack situated forward of the right side stack.
Through-passage plan with shippon to left side, now with separate entry but formerly
with access from through-passage. Hall and heated inner room to right, with dairy
extension of 2-storeys at right end. 2-storeys, the shippon end through-passage
roof at lower level. 3-window range of C19 to C20 casements. That to left of 2-
lights, 2-panes per light above gabled stone porch with unmoulded pointed arched
doorway with seats to both sides of inner plank door. C19 window of 4 narrow lights
to left lighting shippon. Upper end has a 2-light window 4-panes per light and 3-
light window 3-panes per light above two 2-light windows 6-panes per light and C20
window to right end extension. Lean-tos to rear. Chamfered and stopped beam to
hall. 2-panelled door to inner room. Lower end of shippon rebuilt in breeze
blocks.
