House, early-to-mid C18. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys.
Ground floor has a window with plain reveals, with a blocked window to its
right. At the left is a door with plain reveals and a flight of stone steps
to a 1st floor door with plain stone surround. On the 1st floor are 2
sashed windows with plain stone surrounds. Chimney on left-hand gable.
Gables have copings with kneelers. Said to have been built as the brew
house for the Ship Inn. Sambo, an African slave buried nearby, is said to
