Cottage. Circa early C19 with late C20 rear extension. Whitewashed and rendered;
thatched roof, gabled at ends; projecting end stacks with set-offs and brick shafts.
Original building 2 rooms wide and single depth, probably with the stair adjacent to
the left end stack. C20 rear addition and modifications to the exterior, the
dripmoulds and bargeboards referred to in the 1952 list description no longer exist.
2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front with regular fenestration. Central thatched
porch with solid side walls and C20 outer door. Eaves thatch eyebrowed over 2 first
floor 2-light casements. 8 panes per light; ground floor windows 3-light casements.
8 panes per light. Diamond-shaped 1-light windows on the left return may light the
stair.
Interior not inspected.
Although the early C19 Tudor style details have disappeared this is an attractive
thatched cottage of the region.
