House. Early C17, C19. Renovated. Timber framed rendered and plain tiled
roof, half hipped to north end. Red brick ridge stack with three diagonally
set shafts on rectangular base axial to the ridge. Early C17 north range of
two bays with C19 crosswing on the south end. Two storeys. Main elevation in
south end. Reset oval window early C18, in gabled through dormer above gabled
timber porch with bargeboarding. Modern fenestration. Rear range has rebuilt
plinth and new openings. Modern gabled dormer. Interior: The inglenook
hearth and some framing in the main posts remain of the original house. None
of the roof structure over the rear range remains and there have been
substantial alterations to the wall frame. Of the original main trusses only
the tie beam next to the C19 crosswing remains. The posts have jowled heads.
