House, now divided into flats, mid C19th. Squared sandstone with slate roof.
Domestic Gothic Style. 2 storeys with attic. West front has 3 gables. The
left-hand one is wider and is flanked by buttresses and pinnacles with ogee
caps. It has a 2-storey canted bay window with mullions and transoms, cusped
heads to the lights, and an embattled parapet. Above is a 6-light mullioned
and transomed attic window with pointed cusped heads to the lights. The
central gabled section has an 8-light mullioned and transomed window on each
floor, and a 2-light mullioned attic window. The right-hand gabled section
has a 3-light mullioned window on the ground floor and a 6-light mullioned and
transomed window on the 1st floor whose hood rises to enclose a shield of
arms. To the left of this section is a single-storey gabled porch whose outer
door section has clustered cylindrical shafts. Central section has chimney
with diagonal shafts. North wall has 8-light mullioned and transomed window
on ground floor and similar windows of 8 and 4 lights on the 1st floor. At
the left is a gabled porch with pointed doorway.
