Odsey House

GV II

Kitchen and connecting passage to Odsey House. Circa 1723 with late C19 and
C20 alterations. Red brick with gauged brick dressings; plain tiled roof.
Single storeyed kitchen with parapet gables, large side stack to north-east
reduced. Brick eaves cornices continued across the gables to form pediments.
Passage way originally with five segmental arches filled in with later windows
and with sunk brick panels above and a plain cornice. Interior: The kitchen
has been converted to a library with modern fenestration to the north-west,
the cooking hearth, tiled possibly with Delft or similar tiles, has been
sealed. On the wall of the passageway is a painting of a hound with
'Devonshire' on its collar.
