Cottage and shop. Late C17 and C19. Timber framed, roughcast rendered. One
end weatherboarded and the other of C19 clay bat with slender framing to
upper yable end. Long straw thatch with original red brick axial ridge
stack. Lobby entry and three bay plan with left hand end bay converted to
shop. One storey and attic. One dormer. One fixed light small pane C19
window and one C19 casement. Shop window has glazing bars and is probably
C19. Boarded door to lobby entry. Inside: One blocked inglenook hearth,
and later abutting hearth probably dating from a sub-division of the
cottage. One blocked window opening in the clay bat wall. Heavy framing and
downward bracing exposed in rear wall. C19 staircase off centre room.
