shaft on stone stack to right gable end, brick shaft on ridge. Single depth plan
with added rear outshut, 3 rooms wide. Addition at right end under lean-to roof

remodelling into a 3-storey house, 3rd storey windows blocked and roof possibly
lowered in C19. Asymmetrical 3-window front with off-centre stone gabled porch,
slate-hung in the gable. Ground floor window to right of porch late C19/early C20 3-
light casement, 6 panes per light. Other windows circa early C18 in style are 2-

panes per light, 1 window partly reglazed. 3 blocked windows high under the eaves
retain their sills.
Interior Ground floor room right has large fireplace with moulded granite jambs and
probably replaced softwood timber lintel, cloam oven. Exposed ceiling beams. In the
wall opposite the fireplace is a slate basin with a slate rim and slate-lined bowl,
rediscovered during C20 renovations. There is a small plugged drain below the basin
which may have drained directly into or below the former through passage. The middle
ground floor room has 1 exposed axial beam.
