House. Late C17, extended by one bay early mid C18 and remodelled in
c.1840-50 when the principal block was added. Mid-late C17 part timber-
framed, roughcast rendered and cement tiled with original late C17 red brick
ridge stack and c.1840-50 grey brick stack of two diagonally set shafts on
rectangular base. Original single north-south range, of three bays and lobby
entry plan. The C19 addition has converted the house to an L-plan. Two
storeys. Four flush frame hung sashes of twenty panes. Doorway in original
location opposite the stack. In early-mid C18 the C17 house was extended by
one bay to the north. Red brick and tiled roof. Two storeys. One similar
window at each storey. Two original windows at gable end with segmental
arches and one with wood grille. Fire insurance plaque to this gable end.
The c.1840 addition is a main south range. Grey brick with steeply pitched
roof. Symmetrical elevation of two, two-storey gables flanking the central
doorway. Recessed hung sashes.
