Farmhouse, C16, colour washed stone and plastered cob. Gable-end slate roof with
axial brick stack plastered 3-cell cross or through passage plan and small room
added at lower end. 2 storeys 5 window range with two 3-light timber casements to
left and three 2-light casements to right first floor, all with glazing bars. 3
panes per light to left hand 3 windows, 6 panes per light to right. Set-off stone
porch with slated gable roof. Square-headed ovolo moulded doorway with framed and
ledged ancient door with cover strips. Square window opening and 3-light timber
window to left, 3 panes per sash. Two 2-light casement to each side of three light
timber casement, 6 panes per light to right. Stone outshut to rear with two 4-
paned windows each side of stable door at upper end. To right 3 round stone
pillars with infill indicated former single-storey linhay. 3-light ovolo moulded
window at rear first floor. Higher roof with brick stack to washing house and
blocked stair and turret at lower end. The roof to the lower end has been raised
in cob to provide a level eaves. This gable is blind save for a
small boarded opening. Chamfered doorframe in rear outshut and chamfered ceiling
beams in hall with rough scroll stops. Another chamfered beam in inner room.
