4/72 Lower Week including summer-house

House, formerly farmhouse. Probably C18, early or mid C19 summerhouse, C20
additions. Plastered cob and stone rubble; one stack is exposed stone rubble, the
other is plasted and either cob or stone rubble, both have C20 brick tops; thatch
roof, slate and felt to C20 extensions.
2-room plan house facing south-east, each room with a projecting end stack. C20
service extension on right (north-east) end and a C20 2-storey kitchen extension to
rear of left room. C19 summer-house attached to left and front corner. 2 storeys.
Main house has irregular 3-window front comprising C19 3-light casements with
glazing bars to first floor and C20 2-light casements without glazing bars to the
ground floor with a fourth similar to right service extension. The front door is
C20 but includes a panel of small panes of coloured Victorian leaded glass. It is
protected by a C20 gabled and slate-roofed porch. Main roof is gable ended. At
left of front the small cob and rubble summer-house has a conical roof with a full
height doorway to the front.
