Cottage. Late C15 or early C16 with late C17 alterations, recently
restored. Timber-framed and partly plastered. Thatched roofs half hipped to
right hand. Rectangular planned red brick ridge stack to right of junction
with cross wing to left hand. One storey and attic main range originally an
open hall two storey jettied cross wing of two timber-framed bays. Main
entrance in rear elevation, two ground floor casement windows and two first
floor cross wing windows; one eyebrow dormer window. Hall cross beam with
large peg projecting above window to hall. Interior: Two large fireplaces
with mantel beams, quarter-round moulding to hall cross beam. The medieval
roof has been removed; part of the open truss survives in north and south
walls.
