Farmhouse. "JMAM 1770" (John and Alice Milnes) on datestone.
Hammer-dressed watershot stone with slate roof. 2-bay 2-
storey house with 2-bay addition to right and a wing and
outshut to rear. Quoins. Two 6-light recessed cavetto-
moulded stone mullion windows to each floor. Carved central
datestone has small moulded hood. Addition to right has
square-cut door surround and various C19 and C20 window
openings. Blocked door to left gable. The rear wing also has
quoins and was extended in C20. It has partly obscured 2
and 3-light windows as above. Bulletin of the Saddleworth
