House. Late C17 house remodelled in mid C.18 when extended on north and
south. Early C19 two storey porch and small addition at south end. Local gault brick, replacing the timber-frame of the original house in the rear range. Plain tiled roof, mainly gabled, except for hipped roof to north end. Dentil eaves cornice throughout. Ridge and end stacks. Original house of single range with end to road. Mid C18 addition forms a T-plan, which was altered in early C19 when the two storey porch was added on the front. Two storey family part and one storey and attic domestic wing on the south end. Hung sashes to mid C18 family part and horizontal sliding sash to domestic wing. Two storey porch, early C19, with tumbled gable end, recessed four pane hung sash above recessed doorway in round headed arch. Early C19 extensions to domestic wing at south end. Similar brick and tiles with tumbling. One storey. Turning corner to yard. At the rear two dormers. Two mid C18 doorways and doorcases to the domestic part, each with six raised and fielded panels. Inside: The late C17 house has part of the original roof. Ridge piece with and principal rafters with collar. The rest of the roof is modern. Intersecting main beams, stop chamfered (possibly reused) at ground floor in this part. Mid C18 dog-leg staircase. Closed string with square newel fluted, toads back rail and column balusters. The early C19 gable porch on the front has a vestibule with one door leading to the early C19 office and the other door to the hall of the mid C18 house. There is a mid C18 corner cupboard with round headed arch, raised and fielded panels, shaped shelves and dentil frieze in the kitchen and other doors with similar panelling.
