1.10.85 listed as Nos 8 & 10 (Oaktree as Nos 8 & 10 (Oaktr
Cottage) and adjoining barn)

2 houses. Hammer-dressed stone with graduated stone slate
roof. Total of 3 bays with 2 storeys, a projecting barn to
the right and a garage to left gable. A parallel range was
added to the rear in C19 to make No. 10 double rather than
single-depth. No. 8 (right) has a central door with square-
cut stone surround obscured by a C20 porch. 5 and 3-light
recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows to either side,
the former with 2 mullions removed. 4 and 3-light flat-
faced mullion first floor window having had 2 and 1 mullions
removed respectively. No. 10 has a blocked door to right
with square-cut surround, a 5-light ground floor and a 3-
light first floor window (as above). 3 ridge chimney
stacks. The barn projects and has a square-cut door
surround and a blocked cart entry with segmental arch.
