Towing path bridge at junction with Ashton canal. 1835 on
inscribed stone. Hammer-dressed stone. Segmental arch takes
the tow-path across the Peak Forest Canal. Gently inclined
tow-path with parapet walls made of large monolithic slabs
above a continuous band. Functional but graceful design.
