Laithe-house. "RH 1837" on keystone above barn door.
Hammer-dressed stone with graduated stone slate roof.
Double-depth central-staircase plan with 2 storeys and an
adjoining barn and byre all under one roof. Central door
with square-cut stone surround and hoodmould. Two 3-light
chamfered stone mullion windows with hoodmoulds to each
floor. Shaped gutter brackets, coped gables with kneelers
and 2 ridge chimney stacks with oversailing courses. The
barn to the right has a large barn door the segmental arch
having a carved and dated keystone with a stag's head. A
door to the right has a square-cut surround and the gable
has 3 lancet vents with hoodmoulds. Small 2-storey wing to
rear has ornate finials.
