Church. Probably C13, raised in C19. Random rubble with some ashlar,
partly rendered, later alterations in brick. Timber bellcote. Clay
tile roof. 5-bay nave and chancel in one, west bellcote and south porch
Diagonal and angle buttresses with offsets. C19 three-light west window
with rendered brick mullions. South elevation: to west, a small segmental-
headed window with iron glazing bars: remaining 2 windows are square-
headed of 3 lights with C19 brick mullions. Pointed south door with
continuous chamfer. Segmental headed door with incised heart to keyblock
of arch: the heart bears an inscription (not now legible). Pointed
3-light east window with C19 tracery. Louvred bellcote. Raised coped gables
on shaped kneelers. Interior: C18 rectangular pulpit of raised and
fielded panels with elegant brass candleholders. C12 font: shallow
circular basin on a cylindrical pier on an unusual broad shallow base:
perhaps a millstone. C18 turned baluster altar rails and early C19
pews.
