Church. C12 nave, early C13 chancel, C15 west tower, restored 1872.
Ashlar, graduated slate roofs. West tower, 5-bay nave, 2-bay chancel. West
tower of 3 stages with moulded plinth and string-courses, and diagonal
buttresses. Pointed 2-light belfry openings with ogee tracery under hood-
moulds with heraldic stops; cusped running scroll under pierced crenellated
parapet. C19 corner pinnacles. 2-light pointed west window with
Perpendicular tracery including 2 brattished transoms. Nave: C19 paired
lancets to west, 3 C19 lancets to east, all under continuous hood-mould.
South door of 3 orders with attached shafts: capital to west with human
busts under arcading, capital to east with inverted ash leaves. Square
inner orders with chevron decoration: shallow outer order with roll
moulding. Pointed north door under hood-mould with nailhead and human head
stops. Pre-Conquest interlace slab in west wall, north side. Chancel:
2 lancets under hood-moulds with foliage stops. 3 C19 lancets to east
gable. C12 elliptical chancel arch, with plain reveals, imposts with
saltire crosses, and chevrons to extrados and to soffit. Round-headed
Priest's door to north wall with hollow-chamfered imposts and hood-mould.
Aumbries to north and south, 5 diapered panels behind altar. C12 tub font
with constricted waist.
