House and gatepiers. Late C18/early C19. White brick, stone dressings, slate roofs.
Main range of 2 storeys, 5 bays, originally flanked by single-storey, single-
bay wings to right and left: that on the right has been raised in C20.
Central door of 6 raised and fielded panels with fanlight with radial
glazing in panelled soffit and reveals, behind half-round porch carried on
columns with Tower of the Winds capitals. Sashes with glazing bars and sill
band under cambered wedge lintels. First-floor band and sill band to 5
similar, smaller sashes. Mutule cornice to low, coped parapet. Coped
gables, end stacks. Left wing has 2 round-headed sashes with glazing bars
and fluted tympana. Right wing has single, similar window. Each has a sill
band and corner pilaster topped by an urn. Low coped parapets. 2 pairs of
rusticated gate piers to front wall: each with band, moulded cornice, and
ball finial (one missing).
