Public house. Mid-late C18 with later additions and alterations and in
2 stages of build. Colour-washed pinkish-brown brick with pantiled roof.
2 storeys, 6 bays, of which the first is slightly advanced and the 2 to
right are taller. Entrances to third and fifth bays, that to third bay a
part-glazed 6-panel door under cambered arch. that to fifth bay a
6-fielded-panel door with overlight with vertical glazing bars. To first
bay a 12-pane sash, to second and fourth bays are 16-pane sashes under
cambered heads. Sixth bay is canted with 16-pane sash to centre and 8-pane
sashes to sides. First floor has unequally hung 9-pane sashes to first and
third bays and unequally hung 12-pane sashes to second and fourth bays. To
fifth bay a 6-pane sash under segmental arch and to sixth a canted bay
window as ground floor. Hipped roofs. Ridge and end stacks.
