Barn and hayloft. Late C18 with later additions and alterations including
range to left of no special interest. For Sir Christopher Sykes, 2nd
Baronet, probably to his own design. Pinkish-brown brick in English garden
wall bond with Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 6 first-floor openings. 4 bays
to either end defined by pilaster strips. To ground floor are 6 original
stable entrances under segment heads of gauged brick, 4 now blocked,
otherwise with board doors. 2 further inserted entrances with board doors
under soldier arches. Otherwise 4 off-centre casement windows under
segmental arches. To centre a flight of steps to hayloft entrance, a board
door. First floor with 5 oculi, one blocked, others with pitching doors.
Diamond breathers. Stepped and cogged eaves. Hipped roof. To gable ends
are oculi within semicircular recesses with keystones.
