House,now public house. Probably early-mid C19 with earlier origins and
later additions and alterations. Reddish-yellow brick in Flemish bond with
range to left of reddish-orange brick in English garden wall bond, pantile
roofs. Main range of 2 storeys, 3 bays with range to left of 2 lower
storeys, 2 first-floor windows and with ranges to rear. Main range: 2 steps
to central entrance a 6-fielded-panel door with overlight within recessed
surround and doorcase of fluted pilasters, cornice and hood. Ground floor
has 16-pane sashes under wedge lintels. First floor: outer bays have
unequally hung 12-pane sashes, otherwise unequally-hung 9-pane sash, all
under wedge lintels and with stone sills. Modillion eaves band. Range to
left: ground floor has 16-pane sash. To first floor are two 4-pane
casements which interrupt modillion eaves band. End stacks to main range.
