The nucleus of the house is timber-framed and of C16/C17 date. A late C17
wing at the back. Street elevation; C18/C19 refronting. Red brick; old
tile hipped roof with chimney on front slope and heavy timber corbelled
eaves cornice. Three storeys. Second floor with four sliding casements
set under cornice. First floor with 4 sashes with heavily moulded architraves
and hoods. Ground floor cement rendered and with pilasters carrying an
architrave and cornice extending across the building. On left hand a door
with modern hood on brackets and on each side, one sash. On right hand,
a carriage entrance. All windows with glazing bars. Rear wing chequer
brick with coved cornice. Five window range of cross windows with leaded
lights and gauged brick heads. Two blocked. Ground floor is more altered.
