GV II

House. C16-early C17. Timber frame with brick infill, formerly whitewashed,
the ground floor rebuilt in brick C19. Old tile roof, large external
chimney of flint and narrow brick at right end. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Ground
floor has wooden casements, old 3-light to left, 2-light to right. Small
horizontal sliding sashes to first floor, the left with C20 single casement
above in gabled eaves-line dormer. C20 door to right of centre with C20
flat wooden hood. Rear has small blocked window with original mullions
below eaves. Probably once part of No.1, School Lane. Interior has timber
framing in cross walls.
