House. C16, altered C17, refronted early C19, altered C20. Timber frame
with brick infill to first floor rear; right gable part rendered and
colourwashed; remainder flint with brick dressings. Tiled roof. Large
C17 external chimney to right, the lower part of flint and brick, the
upper part of brick in English bond with 2 diagonal brick shafts. Later
brick chimney to rear. 2 storeys, C20 5-bay fenestration. Ground floor
has paired wooden casements with segmental heads; first floor has wooden
cross casements. Central C20 door with flat wooden hood. C19-C20 brick
lean-to to rear of left bay. Interior is of 3 bays with timber framing
in cross walls: truss between left bays has good curved braces and was
probably open over centre of C16 hall; truss between right bays closed.
Right bay has stop-chamfered spine beam and very heavy stop-chamfered
fireplace lintel.
