Group of 4 houses and farmbuilding range, mid-C18. Rubble with tooled-and-
margined quoins and dressings; graduated stone slate roofs. Houses in L-plan.
2 storeys; Nos. 3 and 4 (facing north) each 2 bays, Nos. 5 and 6 (facing west)
each 3 irregular bays. 6-panelled doors, 2 with overlights, (except No. 4
boarded door); two more boarded doors to right of No. 5 door. 16-pane sash
windows to ground floor and 12-pane sashes above. Most openings to Nos. 3 and
4 in stone surrounds. Roof of No. 6 hipped to left; each house has one banded
ridge stack.
Left return of No. 6 and rear farmbuilding range form a near-symmetrical 1+3+1
bay composition. Upright slab plinth, 1st floor band. Central boarded door
with radial fanlight in round arch; boarded pitching door above. Similar
doorways, now blocked, in flanking bays. At right end 12-pane Yorkshire sashes
to both floors. Slightly-projecting end bays have tall blind arches with
impost bands, that to left with inserted window; roof hipped to left. Left
return of range shows large C20 opening. Added smithy, with cart entrance
under timber lintel, to left. 16-pane sash window and left end stack.
