Farmhouse with garden wall, iron railings and gate. C17 with C18 and C19 additions
and alterations. Shale rubble and granite with scantle slate roofs and brick gable
chimneys. L-shaped plan with further C18 and C19 wing at angle under double span
roof to east and porch in north east angle. 2 storeys, 3 window south front.
Central 6 panel door with lattice porch, wide window openings with timber lintels.
Twenty paned sashes to ground floor and shorter 6 paned sashes to first floor. 2
storey, 3 window west front (heightened circa 1900) retains 4 light, 2 light and 4
light hollow chamfered granite mullioned windows under continuous granite hood
mould. Sixteen paned sashes to first floor. Interior has flat baluster stair
circa 1700, some post and panel partitioning and several C18 2 panel doors.
Chamfer over doorway to kitchen in later part which has slate flagged floor, cloam
oven in open hearth and bowtell moulded ceiling joists. Flanking garden walls to
south linked to low granite coped wall with iron railings and gate with fleurs de
lys and scrolled top.
