(Bletchley) west side.

5/88 Tattenhoe Hall Farmhouse

- II

House. Late C17 and C18 altered. Brick, projecting plinth rendered,
old tile roof, flanking chimneys, 2 storeys, double pile plan. E.
front to garden has 3 bays of sash windows in reveals with flat arches,
central door with 4 centred arched head, door with 6 elaborate panels
with quadrant corners, lion knocker. W. front to yard has 2 irregular
upper windows, the LH a sash, the RH a four light leaded wood mullioned
and transomed casement. To RH is a projecting gabled 1-storey and attic
wing with loft door to upper floor, to LH is a smaller 1-storey wing, the
two now joined by a modern glazed lean-to addition. N. front is double
gabled with large chimneys on gable ends and some modern casements.
S. front is also double gabled with chimney on E. gable with 2 pane
sash window to LH, 1 bay of sashes with flat arches to W. gable end.
Interior has staircase with turned balusters the whole height of the
house and good mahogany doors.
