Road bridge across the River Greta. Probably early C18 with C19 abutments;
roadway widened and parapet rebuilt in late C20. Dressed and squared sandstone.

Wide depressed-pointed arch of 2 orders with set-back voussoirs. Flanking
abutments on west face. Battered buttress at south end of east face. Parapet,
with chamfered coping stones, is supported on transverse concrete beams.
Square-plan end piers have chamfered rustication and pyramidal caps.

This bridge straddles the parishes of Bowes and Gilmonby.
