Farmhouse.

Group of farm outbuildings. Early C19. Built on 4 sides of
covered fold-yard and comprising : byre (N. side); stables
(E. side) and loose-boxes (S. & W. sides). Random rubble
sandstone to N,E & W sides; chevron-dressed sandstone to
S.side. Welsh slate hipped roofs to S & W sides with stone
ridge copings. Late C20 asbestos sheeting to N. & E.
sides. Single storey. Loose-boxes have semi-circular
arched openings onto the fold-yard. Pyramidal roof to fold
yard has raised centre section with ornamental zinc-clad
finial and fox weather vane surmounting timber lantern.
Whole roof of 4 intersecting timber trusses supported on a
single, central, circular, dressed sandstone column with
cushion capital, of c.1850; and similar short drum-like
piers rising from above the eaves of each of the enclosing
buildings.
