Pair of houses. Dated 1877 on plaque. Designed by George Devey as
gardeners' cottages for the Lilies Estate. Red brick with diaper
patterning in blue headers, tile hanging to far gable. Tiled roof, brick
chimneys with off-set heads. First floor band course, shaped gables with
segmental pediments. 2 storeys, 2 main bays. Wooden casements with
single horizontal glazing bars and segmental relieving arches. Right
bay is gabled, with 3-light casement to ground floor, 2 paired casements
to first floor, and small blind roundel above. Depressed brick arch,
chamfered and with stone keyblock, to left, with C20 door in recess
behind. Left bay has one casement to ground floor. External chimney to
right side has lean-to at base. Other small lean-tos to rear.
