SJ 69 SW POULTON-WITH-FEARNHEAD CINNAMON LANE

Formerly a school, now dwelling, 1833. Rendered
red brick with slate roof; 3 storeys, 2 bays. Coursed stucco finish
to facade, rear and west gable. 4 panel entrance door with bolection
moulded lower panels and glazed upper panels fronted by later porch.
Recessed sash windows with single glazing bars to facade but some now
altered. Plain coupled bracketted eaves with wooden fascia and lead
gutter. Hipped roof with lead hips and ridge. Built by James
Cropper, a Lancashire pioneer of education.
