House. Late C17-early C18 with C19 alterations. Sandstone rubble, limewashed
on main block and roughcast on wing. Welsh slate roofs with rebuilt brick
chimney stacks. Main block with wing, containing cross passage, at left.
3-storey main block, originally 4 bays but now with two C19 openings on each
floor. Rubble plinth and large, roughly-squared quoins. Replaced 16-pane
sashes and blocked top-floor windows with projecting stone sills. Steeply-
pitched roof with swept eaves and end stacks. 2-storey, 2-bay wing has
cross-passage doorway with replaced door and patterned fanlight in open-
pedimented doorcase. Replaced casement, 16-pane sash and late C20 archway
to left. Steeply-pitched roof with swept eaves and tall central ridge stack.
Full-height gabled wing, on rear of main block, has blocked pigeon holes and
alighting ledges in gable. Interior of main block has large chamfered ceiling
beams on ground floor; 3 roof trusses with adzed principal rafters, halved
collars and a double row of purlins.
