House. Early C18, altered early Cl9. Front and right bay of left
side are of flint with C18 brick dressings and gables; remainder
C19 brick, part whitewashed. Old tile_roofs, one chimney of narrow brick
with arched recessed panels, later brick chimney to left. Double pile,
the rear left bay probably an extension to original L-plan. 2 storeys
and attic, 2 bays. Narrow brick band courses. Front has 2 gabled bays,
the left with 5-pane sash to ground floor, the right with 3-light barred
wooden casement. Paired wooden casements to upper storeys, those to first
floor with glazing bars, those to attic with segmental heads. Central board
door with wooden hood and paired wooden casement above. Flanking single
storey extensions: the left is of brick and has an old board door with
vent holes and fanlight; the right is of flint and brick with 3-light
wooden casement and door in left return. Rear remodelled early C19, with
sash windows, canted bay to left, and minimal pediment hood over central
flush-panelled door. Central horizontal sliding sash to staircase. Interior:
early C18 staircase with flat moulded handrail and sturdy splat balusters.
