Farmhouse and cottage adjoining to left. Early C18 farmhouse and probably
early C19 cottage. Coursed sandstone rubble. Asbestos tiles on farmhouse
roof and Welsh slates on cottage roof. Large C19 cream-brick chimney stacks.
Farmhouse 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Squared alternating quoins. Replaced
door and overlight at left in lobed, bolection-moulded surround. Replaced
sashes and casements in scattered C19 and C20 openings. Boarded opening under
eaves at right. Steeply-pitched roof with swept eaves and raised verges.
Tall end stacks. Lower 2-storey, 4-bay cottage has replaced door behind late
C20, off-centre brick porch. Replaced sashes with flush lintels and projecting
sills. 2 blocked windows on first floor. Pitched roof with left end stack.
2 pigeon-loft openings with stone alighting ledges in gable on right return
of farmhouse. Single-storey, one-bay wing on right return of farmhouse has
boarded door and steeply-pitched roof. Narrow 2-storey stair wing, under pent
roof, on centre rear of farmhouse. Similar 2-storey gabled wing on rear of
cottage.
