House. Late C18-early C19 remodelling of C16-C17 building. Red brick,
rubble stone plinth with moulded brick coping, dentil eaves. S. front
rendered. Old tile roof, hipped to right, with external brick
chimney to left. Large C16-C17 stack to rear with rendered base and
2 brick shafts rebuilt C20, one set diagonally. 2 storeys and attic,
4 bays, that to right formerly an outbuilding. 4-pane sashes,
renewed C20, C20 door in second bay. Rear has early C19 2-storey
projection, whitewashed brick lean-to, and C20 attic dormers.
Interior: partition between left bays has heavy timber framing with
large curved brace; attic fireplace of plastered brick and timber with
chamfered depressed arch; central first floor room reputed to have been
court room.
