Garden walls surrounding garden which is an ancient burial ground, including gate-
piers, gates and a goose house or possibly a dog's kennel built in the south wall.
The garden mound is pre-Conquest; the walls are C18 or C19; the goose house is
probably C18.
Walls are coursed rubble and earth retaining walls, gate-piers are dressed granite
monoliths. C19 wrought-iron gates.
Irregular shaped mound which is an ancient burial ground remodelled as the garden in
front of Helland Farmhouse qv. Built into the bank in the south side is an oval-on-
plan probable goose house with domed corbelled roof.
Walls have several courses of horizontally-bedded rubble surmounted by several
courses of vertically-set rubble. Goose house doorway has 2 granite jambstones
spanned by a granite lintel. Square-on-plan monolithic granite gate-piers have
round-headed sides. There is a semi-circular-on-plan round-headed corbelled niche
set into the north garden wall. Preserved in the garden are several ancient granite
fragments including a small font or holy water stoup.
