Lower Vicarwood
II
Farmhouse. Early C18, altered mid-C19. Red brick with stone
dressings. Plain tile roof with brick gable stacks. Stone
plinth, chamfered stone quoins, first floor stone band and
brick dentil eaves cornice. Three storeys. Double range plan.
Symmetrical east elevation of two broad bays. Central doorway
with stone lintel. C20 glazed door and rectangular overlight.
Flanked on each side by glazing bar sashes under stone lintels.
Two similar windows above, and two similar but smaller windows
above again. Inside, dogleg staircase with stick balusters and
ball finials on the newels. Kingpost roof.
